DAY 1 - ARRIVE AT PORTO MONTENEGRO

Boarding begins at 18:00 hours in Tivat. Welcome aboard! After you’re comfortably settled in your cabin, come join us for a friendly drink. Then savour a sumptuous chef-prepared welcome dinner onboard, and stay overnight at the dock.

DAY 2 - EXPLORE MEDIEVAL TOWN KOTOR

We begin with a memorable visit to the Maritime Heritage Museum, one of Tivat’s top historical attractions. Then we cast off and begin your cruise in magnificent Boka Bay. After a stop for lunch and swimming in Ljuta Bay, we arrive early at the secluded coastal town of Kotor, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Surrounded by medieval fortifications, the Old Town offers an abundance of cafes, historic churches and museums, alongside Venetian pillories and palaces. Enjoy dinner dinner onboard admiring the walls of Kotor illuminated at night.

DAY 3 - SWIM AND SIGHTSEE IN ANCIENT BUDVA

After a hearty breakfast, take in a guided tour of the Old Town of Kotor before we sail south out of the bay. Next up: a refreshing swim in Dobra Luka Bay, followed by a delicious lunch onboard. We stop at the popular sunbathing spot of Jaz Beach, one of the longest beaches in Montenegro. Our next destination is Budva, one of the oldest settlements on the Adriatic coast, founded more than 2,500 years ago, and home to the most breathtaking churches in this part of Europe. It is known as much for its medieval walled city as for its sparkling sandy beaches and vibrant nightlife. Have a lovely dinner out, and then spend the night at anchor in Budva.

DAY 4 - RELAX LIKE ROYALTY NEAR SVETI STEFAN

After a chef-prepared breakfast, we continue your journey along the breathtaking Adriatic coast. We stop for lunch in front of the fortified island village of Sveti Stefan (Saint Stephen), formerly a posh playground for 1960s film stars and royalty including Marilyn Monroe, Sophia Loren, Doris Day, and Princess Margaret. There’s plenty of time for a leisurely swim in the emerald waters of Traste Bay before we arrive in the quaint fishing village of Bigova, where you can have a cosy dinner on your own. We will spend the night either at dock or at anchor.

DAY 5 - DISCOVER THE ENDURING CHARM OF HERCEG NOVI

Start your day with delicious breakfast onboard before we sail out into the open water again. Lunch is served in the quiet cove of Mirista Bay before we go swimming in Njvice. Shortly, we arrive at the coastal town of Herceg Novi, nestled at the foot of Mount Orjen. Stroll through floral-scented streets lined with classic architecture, centuries-old churches and fortresses, and countless tropical flowers that bloom under the near-constant sunshine, before returning to the boat for dinner onboard.

DAY 6 - DISCOVER PERAST, AN IDYLLIC VILLAGE ON THE BREATHING BAY OF KOTOR

After breakfast onboard we sail through Boka Bay and stop for a delightful lunch onboard in Risan Bay. Risan, with its soaring limestone cliffs and famous mosaics, dates back to the 3rd century B.C., when it was a fortified Roman town. Then we visit Perast, sometimes called the Venice of the Adriatic, where you can take in the stunning view from the top of the centuries-old St. Nikola church at the heart of the storied town. Discover the grace and charm of a bygone era at the Perast museum, in Bujovic Palace. Have a lovely dinner out, and then spend the night at dock in Perast.

DAY 7 - ENJOY A CELEBRATORY CAPTAIN’S DINNER ONBOARD

On our final day of the cruise, we sail through Boka Bay and stop for a delightful lunch onboard in Morinj Bay. We sail past the forested island of St Marco and drop anchor near Tivat for a celebratory three-course captain’s dinner onboard.

DAY 8 - RETURN TO PORTO MONTENEGRO

After a send-off breakfast on board, check-out at 09:00.

Day 1. Perast - Tivat

Early morning sail to Tivat for disembarkation and breakfast on board. Transfer to the airport.

Day 2. Herceg Novi - Perast

For our last day we sail into Boka Bay and stop in Risan Bay for lunch onboard. Risan is famous for the remnants of classical culture. Upon arrival to Perast, will will stop at Gospa od Skrpjela (Lady of Skrpljel) and St George, tiny islands with churches. You can’t miss out on St. Nikola church in Perast where you can admire a stunning view from the top. Tonight, enjoy captain’s dinner onboard. Overnight at dock.

Day 3. Lustica Bay - Herceg Novi

After breakfast we head inland for a guided visit of Lovcen National Park. After a scenic drive, we will arrive at the summit of Mount Lovcen and visit the Mausoleum of Njegos, a hugely important historical figure. We descend slowly so we have a chance to admire beautiful Boka Bay. We sail out and enjoy lunch onboard in Mirista Bay. Here you can swim and explore the famous Blue Cave, before arriving in the next port, Herceg Novi. There is plenty of time to discover Herceg Novi, far from the madding crowds. Stroll through the streets, explore the old buildings and churches, check out the fortress Forte Mare and enjoy the atmosphere and the history. You are free to dine at one of the lovely local restaurants. Overnight at dock/anchor, depending of availability.

Day 4. Bar - Lustica Bay

We will start the day with a guided tour of Stari Bar, an old fortified town in the hinterland of today’s city of Bar. It was the old town centre but today the Old fortress is abandoned and lies in ruins. Near there is an interesting market. We turn our compass back north with a stop for lunch and swimming in front of Petrovac, in Lucice Bay, one of the most beautiful sandy beaches in Montenegro. Before we arrive in Lustica Bay, a marina village, we make one more stop for a swim in Traste Bay. Your evening if free to try the restaurants of Lustica Bay. Overnight at dock

Day 5. Budva - Bar

After breakfast we will set sail for Bar, stopping for lunch in front of Sveti Stefan, a fortified island village. In the past this was a favourite hangout of 60’s film stars and royalty like Sophia Loren, Doris Day and Princess Margaret. We will have a pleasant walk from Sveti Stefan to Przno through Milocer Park. Before we arrive in Bar we will stop for afternoon swim in Maljevik Bay, a small quiet bay. Your evening is free to explore Bar. Overnight at dock.

Day 6. Kotor - Budva

After breakfast we have a city guided tour of Kotor Old Town. We will sail out of the bay heading south with a swim stop in Dobra Luka Bay and lunch onboard. Before we arrive in Budva we will stop at the popular sandy beach at Jaz. You will have the rest of the day to explore Budva, one of the oldest settlements on the Adriatic coast, over 2,500 years old. Budva has some beautiful Christian architecture and some of the most amazing churches in this part of Europe. Dinner out and overnight at anchor in Budva.

Day 7. Tivat - Kotor

Our first visit will be the Maritime Heritage Museum, where we can learn out Tivat and its naval history. We will sail into magnificent Boka Bay and stop for lunch and swimming in Ljuta Bay. We will arrive early at Kotor Port -, Kotor is an UNESCO World Heritage site. The town is a maze of medieval streets, museums, churches, cafe-strewn squares, Venetian palaces and pillories. Enjoy dinner at one of many restaurants in Kotor. Overnight at dock/anchor, depending on availability.

Day 8. Tivat

You will be transferred from the airport (Tivat, Dubrovnik or Podgorica) to the harbour, where embarkation begins at 17:00 h. Get settled in your cabin before welcome drink. Dinner onboard for the first night. Overnight at anchor.

Sadri Usta is 32 metres long gulet ketch and has 8 cabins, 6 doubles and 2 twins. She was built in 2005 and extensively refurbished in 2017. The 4 crew members, the captain, chef, steward and sailor, look after a maximum of 16 guests.

Crafted with meticulous care by the skillful Zaferler brothers of Turkey, the Sadri Usta 1 gulet is a masterpiece of woodwork. Upholding the family tradition of artistry, the brothers seamlessly blend classical craftsmanship with modern building techniques. In tribute to their father, the esteemed shipbuilder Sadri, they bestowed upon this motor-sailing yacht the name Sadri Usta — usta means “master”.

The aft deck is home to a beautiful dining table, perfect for elegant dinners, while a seating area invites enchanting conversations. At the front deck, a sunbathing area awaits, inviting you to bask in the warm embrace of the sun on your own personal cushion. Afterward, unwind and recharge in the sumptuous outdoor lounge, savouring a refreshing drink as the captivating sunset unfolds before your eyes.

Kotor Bay and Montenegro gulet cruise

I’m just writing on behalf of Angela and myself to repeat our thanks for everything related to the cruise around Montenegro last week. We had really great service from you and your colleagues and we are particularly grateful that you both honoured our payments from 2020, without asking for a supplement, and also give us a cabin each as this boat only had double cabins. This was really generous of you and much appreciated, thank you. It was a really beautiful and spacious boat - the cabin and bathroom were so wonderfully large and there was lots of deck space for all activities. We were lucky being only eight passengers, so we were rather spoilt! We were also very lucky with the weather and so could enjoy the trip around the beautiful coastline and also the times ashore. The sea was rather too cold for me to do much swimming but others, tougher than I, did have a great time in the water in the sun.

We also want to repeat our thanks to the crew of four. They were all really professional and excellent at their jobs and also so very obliging - nothing was too much trouble. they were all such nice people and it was a pleasure for us to have them as our crew. I know that Boban is now on his last week’s cruise with the gulet and is leaving to run his own business, so please can you be sure to pass on our thanks to the crew before he leaves finally.

Anyway we were very glad indeed to have finally made it to Montenegro for this cruise - at the fourth attempt! It was worth the wait!

Kotor Bay and Montenegro gulet cruise

A... was excellent too with her communication with organising the pick up and then drop off after the cruise. I hope her lovely cocker spaniels ear infection has settled down.

The cruise was everything and even more. The food was delicious, fresh and the menu had alot of lovely local cuisine.

The crew were great . Barish , the captain was friendly and informative, and Ralay (?) was very polite.

It was great that we were able to get over to the The Lady of the Rocks church ( that wasnt on the itinerary but we asked if we could) . Thank you . HS
